I'm only getting worse...

I'm an probably the worst blogger there is. I always forget that I should post something.
Well to update everyone...

I'M HOME FOR THANKSGIVING. I miss all of my Capital girlies and wish that my high school friends were a little nicer now. I don't know what is going on with them.

Well back at school, Cross country is over and I'm so excited. It is amazing to just sit down and not have to go for a run or worry about what I'm going to eat that day. It is great but it is about to come to an end. I'm so not happy. Track practice starts on Monday and I'm not going to be happy anymore.

At school I'm enjoying college life so much. All of the girls are amazing and I love hanging out with them. They are just so full of life and full of fun. It is the best. We have a great time together. but some of the girls are leaving and I'm not happy about it. One of my really good friends is the one that is leaving. Things have just gotten so fun and now things are changing and I'm not a fan! (If you couldn't tell...I'm not a happy camper)!

Well, being home is the best and I hope things are school continue to go well.
Here are some of the good times at school...

I suck at this!

So I have totally decided that I stink of this!! I never remember that I need to check it and re-post things. I guess it is just too tough for me ;)!

But i have finally remembered and guess what....I don't really have anything interesting to talk about.

Well guess I could talk about what the whole world it talking about today. The election. I got so sick of that stupid thing. I don't really even remember what a normal TV commercial looks like. Everyone that was on was a political ad of some kind. Can we talk about annoying?! I thought I was going to go insane!!! But it's all over know. The presidential election didn't have the results I was hoping for. If I'm truly honest, I knew this was going to happen. I have joked about packing my bags and moving to another country for 4 years, but I think that we will make it through. I don't know how but we will. God has a plan for this country. I, of course, not being God, have no idea what it is, but I know that God is great and will do great things for us. Hey, socialism can't be all that bad can it?! ;)

Monday was mom's birthday. It totally sucked that I couldn't be there with her. It was the first time ever that I haven't been there for mom's birthday (well since I have been around). It was really hard. I felt do bad that I wasn't there. I'm going home this weekend so we can all be together but it totally isn't the same.

That's all for now. I need to work on some things!

Things keep going

So I thought with the facebook fast that I would get better at this...but that didn't really happen! The fast is almost over. It ends tonight after Cru! I'm so excited. But i did like this time without it. I got lots of things done and just relaxed more I guess. I also got closer to God which was the goal.

Well let's see what have I done since last time. Oh...I gave my speech and I think it went really well. The teacher said that he liked it and I was very prepared for it in my opinion. Now we have to write a little summary about our speech. We have to watch ourselves give the speech. It totally sucks. I hate to hear my own self talk much less watch it. Thank goodness for headphones!! But in that class we are also starting our next speech which is the oral interpretation. We get to use something that is already written and perform it for the class. I have decided to use the children's story; Hooway for Wodney Wat. It is one of the best children's books ever. I totally love it!

Let's see....we had a cross country meet on Friday night. It was a great one. I loved the course there and I ran a PR that day!! A 21:05. I was shooting for under 21 but it was close. Things with the girls on the team are awesome. I love them. After the meet, I went home for weekend. It was a great weekend. I got to spend time with Jill and Casey and Heather! :) and some of my friends who are still in high school. Then I went to the District Cross meet where i felt like a celebrity. I saw Mr. Honeycutt, Mr. Crawford and the sports editor of the Troy paper and they all recognized me by saying HI! and calling me Trickster. It was totally awesome. And both of the teams made it on so it was good. Then we went to the Silverlake Haunted trail that night with people from mom's work. it was great to just to see mom like that!! :) But it was an awesome weekend!

Challenges

So last night I went to the weekly meeting of Cru. I just love those because it is just us kids and all the songs are upbeat and I know most of them. But last night, the speaker we had was one of us. She is a senior and she spoke of not appealing your flesh, basically not getting the quick fix to your problems. An example would be, if you lonely don't just go find a boyfriend or girlfriend that you think is going to make you happy, or if you are upset, don't just hop on Facebook and make yourself happy. You should go to God and ask him to help you. So she put this challenge out to us. To go one WHOLE week without Facebook. She said you had the thought that you should do this, then God is totally talking to you, telling you to try it. So, guess what?! I gave up Facebook for the week. This is going to be so hard for me, but I know that I am going to get closer to these girls I am doing it with and closer to God at the same time, which is what I'm going for. So, I think that I am going to get much better at Blogging now because I won't have Facebook to check!! Everyone else pray for me and the other girls doing this. That we might become closer to God and learn how to let him help us through the tough times. It is going to be a challenge but I know I can do it.

On a different note, Andy and I are having a bonfire on Friday and I'm so excited. If you are going to be in town you should totally stop by! I get to see a bunch of my friends that I haven't seen FOREVER it feels like. I'm super excited. Then on Saturday, I going to the district cross country meet to see how the teams do... and then I'm going to watch Becca in her play. I'm going to need a weekend from my weekend. Busy, busy, busy! Plus we have a cross country meet on Friday so that isn't going to help with the tiredness! OH and everyone please think happy thoughts for me around noon today! I'm giving my speech. It's on Marion Jones. I think I'm going to be fine, but you never know.

I can't really think of anything else right now! But you will hear from me soon because NO FACEBOOK for me these week!

Trying to work on things...

So I have this big speech tomorrow at noon and I am having the hardest time working on it. I have the power point all done and the outline...all I have to do now is learn the stupid thing... I HATE GIVING SPEECHES!! They are just awful.

On a happier note, my dad is coming to visit on Thursday because he has an interview here. I'm super excited. He is one of the final 3 from 40 people. I'm so proud of my daddy! I really hope the job because it would be so good for him and for the family.

Cross country is going well. At All-Ohio (which is like the hardest course EVER), the team came in 14th out of 19 but I put up a good time and came in 2nd for the team. So i was pretty excited. Then it was girls weekend. That night, the girls team got together for a little team bonding. We had a dance party at Amy's and then we went to a Haunted House. It was called the Haunted Hoochie. The thing is we didn't get to the Hoochie. It was $17 a person!!!! That is total craziness. We left as fast as we came. But he had fun none the less. The next day mom came over for girls weekend. We went shopping and stayed in an awesome hotel room. It was awesome to get to be with mom for the whole weekend.

The team... aren't we cute!!

Part of our kick butt room!! Just so you know...it was a $450 room that we got for $62 baby!! It was a suite but it couldn't get all of it in one picture!!

Classes and such

So...I have just figured out that I'm not very good at this. I always forget that I have it and that I should write on it. Then I never have anything to write about!

Well here goes nothing...
I guess i can tell you about my classes. Right now in my oral communications class we are doing informative speeches. Mine is about Marion Jones (they have to link to our persuasive speeches later in the semester so I was going to do steroids in sports...). But I have been working away on this speech or at least trying to. I get distracted easily it seems and can't focus on it. In my digital art class we are working away on like 100 different things. We have to take all of these pictures and stuff and they photoshop then into something arty looking.... In my other art class we do like a project a day! It is so busy. I'm such a perfectionist that I can't finish something that quickly. My last class in my psychology class. I'm doing actually really well in that class. We just got one of our exams back the other day and I got a 47 out of 50 on it. I was so excited!!

The cross country team has a meet today. It is the All-Ohio Championships. We leave in like 2 hours and I'm not looking forward to it. The girls have been telling stories all year about this meet. AHHH!! Everyone pray for us...that we do our best and finish the race. But there is some fun that is coming out of it. The team is going haunted housing tonight when we get back. I'm so excited. I love all of those girls so it should be a good time. Then it's movie night with some of the girls in the hall. My mom is also coming over tomorrow for girls weekend. I'm so excited. We are going shopping and out to eat...it's going to be fun.. I HOPE!

Well I can't really think of anything else that is at least halfway interesting...

Part Two-Randomness...

This post is all about the little things that are totally random. Every one's favorite things... =]

OK so where did I leave off?!? Oh yea, I was going to tell you about the Cross Country team!

Here it goes-- The girls are the sweetest things ever. I love each of them. I can't believe that there are people like them out there. It is totally different than the way things were in high school. The practices are a little more intense than in high school...that kills me!! :( But the trainers and stuff are so much better. My hips decided to act up again and the trainers here actually care and are giving me things to fix them and make them stronger. It just makes you feel like they care about you...that you aren't just a runner. That you matter. But the team is good but we are great. We just have fun. Right now I'm coming in 3rd the team, but who knows how long that will last :)!

Running with Lindsey...

Me and Marissa after the Otterbein 6K

Classes are off and running with work and stuff. But they really aren't that bad. I seem to know a lot of the stuff they are teaching me. Gotta love a THS education :)! I love all my art classes. My digital art class (AKA my photography class) is boring but i like the end products from that class. My other art class has some great girls it. We have a lot of fun it that one. But the projects are pretty good. My psych class is crazy!! We take notes the WHOLE time and I'm normally super tired in that class because of 6am practice so it's a struggle to stay awake. But i don't mind it. There isn't that much outside work for it. My last class is kinda a joke. It is oral communication which is basically the speech stuff that we learned in high school! It isn't that bad but i hate to speak in front of people so we shall see how that goes.

Let's us...what else is there to talk about? Oh, I'm working a couple of days a week at the Cap Center, which is basically the rec center here. It is a boring job but i don't mind that. I just sit and check IDs and work on my homework and stuff the whole time. I don't mind it that much...it forces me to work on my homework and not get too much ADD going on....

Hmmm....I can't think of anything else to talk about right now.
